Jenny Jones, Baroness Jones of Moulsecoomb, became the Green Party's first member of the House of Lords in 2013 after serving on the London Assembly from 2000 to 2016 and standing as the party's candidate for Mayor of London in 2012. 

A former chair of the Green Party, she has been a prominent advocate for sustainable transport, food policy and road safety. 

Born in 1949, she trained as an archaeologist at University College London and spent a decade working in the Middle East before entering politics.
