The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Electrical Safety (APPG) is a cross-party group of parliamentarians dedicated to improving electrical safety across the UK. 

The UK faces growing risks to public safety from unsafe electrical goods sold on online marketplaces, an ageing housing stock unprepared for the electrification needed to achieve net zero and a shortage of qualified electricians creating a vacuum for exploitation by rogue traders.

With these issues cutting across several key policy areas, the APPG provides a dedicated parliamentary forum to spotlight electrical safety concerns across the UK. The Group brings together parliamentarians, regulators, industry experts and consumer safety organisations to examine emerging risks, share evidence and develop practical policy solutions.

The APPG for Electrical Safety is Chaired by Markus Campbell-Savours MP, with Electrical Safety First providing the secretariat.
