Neil Coyle has been Labour MP for Bermondsey and Old Southwark since 2015, when he defeated Liberal Democrat veteran Simon Hughes.

Born in Luton in 1978 and educated at the University of Hull, he worked in equality, disability and social care policy before serving as a Southwark councillor from 2010. 

He lived in China from 2001 to 2003 and lives in Newington with his wife, Sarah, a landscape architect.
